A magical evening full of music and atmosphere awaits you very soon at the Weltmuseum with The Wizard of Oz – A Classical Concert. A string quartet will reinterpret the famous melodies of the movie in a classical way for you on January 23rd while you are surrounded by soft candlelight.

This season, Candlelight invites you to a 60-minute concert celebrating the timeless music of the classic. A string quartet interprets pieces such as “Over the Rainbow” and “We’re Off to See the Wizard” in a new, classic sound – surrounded by the soft light of countless candles. An evening full of nostalgia, magic and musical beauty.
Candlelight, classic sounds and the timeless magic of a classic movie – an experience not to be missed. Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences and Candlelight join forces to present the exclusive Wizard of Oz tribute concert and bring this musical highlight to Vienna’s Weltmuseum.
No dress code is required – but if you like, you are welcome to get your best ruby red shoes or another Oz-inspired outfit out of the wardrobe. The show lasts around 60 minutes and admission starts 45 minutes before the concert begins. Seats are allocated freely within the booked categories and late entry is not possible, so it’s best to plan enough time to get there a little earlier and arrive relaxed.
