The big city can be exhausting, but just 3 kilometers outside Vienna in Stammersdorf, a completely different world awaits. At Bisamberg, 14 lively goats roam freely through nature, offering stressed-out city dwellers a welcome break. Those who come here aren’t looking for peak athletic performance, but rather genuine, authentic relaxation amidst vineyards.
Yoga in the meadow and off-leash hiking

Well-being is the top priority in the activities offered, because the animals are never forced to do anything. That’s why you can look forward to a relaxed workout in the meadow during the 60-minute goat yoga session. One session costs €45 per person and requires no prior experience from participants.
Those who prefer to explore the rolling countryside can opt instead for year-round goat trekking in the Weinviertel. During this activity, the entire herd walks with you through the forest completely freely and off-leash. First, there’s a short 20-minute introduction to get to know the animals’ personalities before you set off together.

The pace is flexibly adjusted to the ruminants’ hunger. The beauty of it is that you can focus entirely on your surroundings while the herd marches alongside you. As you hike among the animals, a deep, restorative sense of calm sets in after just a few minutes, putting a big smile on your face.
A sanctuary with heart and honeycombs

The project is led by Linda Gröbl, a certified nature educator who places great importance on the animals’ well-being. For this reason, the kids are never slaughtered but remain on the farm permanently. In addition, the on-site honey producer BEELUX produces sustainable honey using solar thermal and photovoltaic energy.
Visitors can sample the sweet honeycomb directly, which is a wonderfully delicious taste experience. For private groups , an exclusive goat cuddling session is also offered for €180. Although everyday life is often hectic, an hour of brushing the soft cashmere goats provides pure relaxation.
Getting there from the city is straightforward if you’d like to use public transportation. From the Floridsdorf train station, the 501 bus takes exactly 38 minutes to the “Hagenbrunn Gemeindezentrum” stop; from there, a short walk of just a few steps separates you from your animal-filled getaway.
