Fall once again brings together traditional folk costumes, regional delicacies, and hearty music in the Prater. For the fifth time, the Kaiserwiese in Vienna’s Prater is transforming into the central gathering place for all fans of authentic festival tent culture. From September 24 to October 11, 2026, the Vienna Kaiser Wiesn 2026 invites you to celebrate together over a total of 18 days.
Three festival tents and rustic alpine huts
During our visits in previous years, we immediately noticed how clearly the grounds are laid out against the backdrop of the Ferris wheel. At the center are three large festival tents: the Gösser Tent, the Wiesbauer Tent, and the Nordic Spirit Kaiser Tent. Here, the restaurateurs serve traditional Austrian cuisine and freshly tapped beer, while the daytime and evening programs take place on the stages.
Those who prefer a more intimate setting will find various alpine huts around the tents, such as the Almdudler Alm, the Schladming-Dachstein Hohenhaus Tenne, the Gasteiner Alm, and the Kaktus Alm. Musically, there’s a packed program daily from 12:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. With acts like Mountain Crew, Wiener Wahnsinn, the Südsteirer, and the Dirndl Rockers, the lineup features numerous well-known names from the scene.

Wiesn Village and free admission to the grounds

In addition to the large festival tents, the lovingly designed Wiesn Village serves as the heart of the festival, perfect for leisurely strolls. There, regional businesses offer traditional crafts and classic sweets, ensuring that families also get their money’s worth during the day. The festival grounds remain freely accessible during the day, while tickets are recommended for the evening events in the festival tents.
