Vienna is unfurling its rainbow flags, because early summer is kicking off with a particularly colorful start this year. From May 29 to June 14, 2026, Vienna Pride 2026 will be making its way through the city, bringing some notable new additions to the program calendar. If you’re used to the classic events, you’ll need to plan a bit this year so you don’t miss any highlights.
Kick-off at City Hall and new Prater Festival
The official kickoff will be the Vienna Pride Conference on May 29 at Vienna City Hall. Starting at 9:00 a.m., exciting talks and discussions await you there— admission is free. In the afternoon, be sure to stop by the LGBTIQ Job Info Fair at the Volkshalle to talk directly with inclusive employers.
The next day, May 30, 2026, the action moves directly to Vienna’s green lung. From 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the big Vienna Pride Community Fest will take place on Prater Hauptallee, featuring food trucks, a Kids Zone, and a packed stage program. At exactly 6:00 p.m., the starting gun for the Pride Run Vienna will go off right there, with around 2,000 athletes making a clear statement.

The grand finale on the Ringstrasse
The undisputed highlight will finally take place on June 13, 2026, when the Vienna Rainbow Parade celebrates its 30th anniversary. Groups will gather starting at 9:30 a.m. on the Ring, before the parade sets off at 12:00 p.m., moving against the usual traffic flow. Get ready for a packed Franz-Josefs-Kai and mark your calendars for the moment of remembrance at exactly 3:00 p.m.
This year, the Pride Village on Rathausplatz is focusing all its energy on this one Saturday. You can stop by the large community tent starting at 10:00 a.m. or sample the culinary offerings. After the parade, the After Pride Celebration kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with live performances on the main stage, where the party continues until 10:00 p.m.
