What is “We call it Ballet”?
It is a new experience in the city that combines dance performance and light show in a shortened version of Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” to pay a special tribute to the traditional ballet. With colored LED lights on the dancers’ costumes, “We call it Ballet” adds a dynamic touch to the dramatic scenes and complex choreography. A combination of tradition and innovation that will delight even the youngest audiences with its accessible storytelling!
The ballet, its narrative and performance
Since its premiere in Moscow in 1890, Tchaikovsky’s “Sleeping Beauty” has been performed in theaters and ballet houses all over the world. This time, the story of Princess Aurora, a curse and the kiss of true love is performed in Vienna with graceful dances and bright tutus that change color depending on the mood of the individual scenes. A unique experience that also includes a narrator whose helpful interventions will make it easier to understand the story.
The show takes place at Das MuTh, which opens its doors 30 minutes before the start and allocates seats on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the type of ticket purchased.
