Starting October 2, the historic Lockenhaus Castle will be transformed into Count Dracula’s sinister realm for the 13th time. In this immersive theatrical production, you’ll make your way through the dark corridors, courtyards, and historic rooms of the fortress.

Experience spine-chilling Dracula theater at Lockenhaus Castle
The plot takes you right through the entire castle complex. You’ll follow the actors through ancient cellars, winding secret passages, and creaking knights’ halls. The authentic medieval walls turn your encounter with the most famous vampire in literary history into an intense experience.
And because a surprise encounter with the Prince of Darkness in the dark is inevitable, this spectacle is definitely not for the faint of heart! The experience is recommended for ages 18 and up.
Fun Fact: According to legend, the castle was originally a stronghold of the Knights Templar and was used for secret cult rituals. At 800 years old, the castle is even older than Dracula himself!

Here’s how to get to the Dracula Show at Lockenhaus Castle
By car, drive from Vienna via the A3 and S31 for about an hour and a half directly to the castle gates. By public transit, take the train to Oberpullendorf and transfer there to the regional bus to the Lockenhaus Hauptplatz stop.
