“Bestattung Wien” is hosting a Halloween party for families right at the Vienna Central Cemetery—and it’s definitely out of the ordinary. The program in Hall 2 near Gate 2 is specifically designed for families looking to spend an exciting afternoon. Right at the entrance, each family receives a puzzle map for a scavenger hunt around the grounds. Those who are especially brave can even try lying in a coffin. We think: This is a memory you’ll be sharing for years to come. Important for families: Children may only participate that afternoon if accompanied by an adult.

Spine-tingling fun for a good cause

In addition to the spooky stations and goodie bags packed to the brim, many more little surprises await visitors. But the truly wonderful thing about this event is its purpose—there’s no set admission fee. Instead, a voluntary donation is requested, which will go entirely to the MOMO Children’s Palliative Care Center. So between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., you can enjoy a special afternoon while supporting an important Viennese institution.
