The Pratersauna grounds have undergone a complete transformation for the summer since July 23, 2026. While the classic nightclub remains closed for the time being, you’ll now find a laid-back beach club at the Pratersauna called Edison, featuring DJ sets, a pool, and a sandy beach complete with lounge chairs.
The well-known outdoor area was renovated by restaurateur Nikolaus Gutmann, so you can enjoy the summer for an admission fee of €7. There’s no expensive membership fee, as the entire concept is open to everyone. If that summer feeling has gotten the best of you again, you’d better hurry, because this unique venue will likely only be open through September.
A fine sandy beach and cool drinks surrounded by greenery
In the center of the garden lies the newly renovated outdoor pool, which offers a welcome way to cool off in the heat. You can also stretch out on the small man-made sandy beach once you’ve secured one of the comfortable lounge chairs.

When your stomach starts to growl, the team serves fresh burgers and street food, which taste especially good after a swim. There’s also a concise menu of cold drinks, so you can spend the afternoon with a cool drink in hand.
Live DJs and opening hours through September
While you relax, rotating live DJs set the mood with summery beats. However, the music ends promptly at 10 p.m., as extended party nights indoors aren’t currently on the agenda.
You can continue to visit this urban mini-resort in the Prater until, presumably, the end of September 2026. The venue is open Thursday through Sunday, with weekend hours starting as early as 10 a.m.
Since the venue is entirely open-air, a visit is strictly weather-dependent. It’s therefore worth checking out the Instagram channel beforehand, although late summer has offered plenty of sunny days so far.
