The sun is supposed to shine this weekend, and Easter is just around the corner. Perfect for a family outing to Burgenland, where there’s something for everyone to marvel at. Adults can make friends on a walk and enjoy a beer afterward in a lakeside outdoor café, and there’s a very special activity for the kids. Starting Friday, April 3, 2026, a giant bouncy castle—which was already a huge hit last year—will be set up again at Lake Neusiedl!
A cargo ship slows down the 240-meter upgrade

At the PODOBEACH beach resort in Podersdorf, the crew is setting up Europe’s longest bouncy castle for the coming weeks. Actually, the inflatable behemoth was supposed to grow by another 40 meters this year to a massive 240 meters. However, the XXL version is currently still floating around on a cargo ship. So, for the start of the season, the tried-and-true 200-meter version from last year will have to do for now. But it’s just as exciting and impressive. The exact launch date for the gigantic expansion will be announced in April. Just check out the Podersdorf am See website for updates.
Until June 28, 2026, kids can battle their way through the slippery obstacles. It’s important to note that you’ll need to purchase a separate ticket for Europe’s longest bouncy castle. The fun isn’t included in the regular beach admission or the season pass. A full-day ticket costs 9 euros per person. If you already have a season or annual pass for the beach, you can get in for just 7 euros on weekdays.

What to keep in mind

Children between the ages of 4 and 6 are only allowed on the facility when accompanied by an adult; the adult does not pay an extra admission fee. If the weather takes a turn and rain or strong winds throw a wrench in your plans, the inflatable castle will remain completely closed for safety reasons. With the sunny weeks ahead, however, that shouldn’t be a problem. Just check the weather forecast briefly before your visit.
After a fun-filled visit to the bouncy castle, you can relax by the water. With its lighthouse-adorned pier, Podersdorf offers the perfect photo opportunity for your feed. Be sure to bring your bike, as the flat paths around the lake are ideal for a leisurely ride. Afterward, treat yourself to a glass of wine and a hearty snack at a local wine tavern.
