JJ touched the hearts of the audience and the jury at this year’ s Eurovision Song Contest and brought the title to Austria for us. Vienna will host the international competition next year and is expecting guests from all over the world. While the preliminary decision on the candidate for Austria is still pending, there is already news about advance ticket sales. Registration for the pre-sale of the much sought-after tickets begins on November 24. This and other news was announced at an ORF press conference yesterday.
News on advance ticket sales for the ESC 2026
From Monday, November 24, you can register for advance ticket sales, which are expected to start at the beginning of 2026. This registration is a prerequisite for being able to purchase tickets later; it is not possible to buy tickets without registering. This is to prevent bots or other fraudsters from buying tickets and then reselling them at exorbitant prices. Registration takes place via the ORF and EBU websites.
90,000 tickets are to go on sale and be released in a multi-stage system. The first stage is registration, which you can do from Monday. In the second stage you will be activated for purchase and in the last stage you can finally buy them. Tickets will be available for the two semi-final shows, the dress rehearsal and the grand final on May 16, 2026. More information about the pre-sale will be available from November 24.
Volunteers needed for the ESC 2026

In addition to registering for advance ticket sales, the ORF also announced that it is looking for volunteers for the events surrounding the ESC. A total of 800 volunteers are to help make the Eurovision Song Contest in Austria a success. They can be deployed in a wide variety of areas, e.g. at the airport, the press center, the Stadthalle itself and other locations.
To help out as a volunteer, you also need to register. You can do this officially from December 1st via the ORF website. You also have the opportunity to register now for news about volunteering at the ESC.
Postcard concept is ready

In addition to news about registration for the presale and volunteers, the ORF also presented the postcard concept for the upcoming ESC. These have long been an integral part of the ESC and are used to bridge the period of reconstruction work on stage. Next year, the postcards will show various locations in Austria. The artists will look at the postcards against the backdrop of their own country and then suddenly find themselves in an Austrian landscape.
Shooting has already begun so that as many seasons as possible can be depicted. The postcards will not only be shown in the clips in the show, but will also be available for sale to fans. So you can buy your favorite design as a souvenir of the ESC in Vienna.
