As the days grow shorter in late summer, a very specific neighborhood in Döbling comes to life. For the 65th time, vendors are setting up their stalls, as this flea market on Obkirchergasse has been a fixture on the calendar for decades. Although the spring flea market on June 13, 2026, already attracted numerous visitors, the event on September 12, 2026, is considered the real highlight of the season.
From 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., the area transforms into a bustling shopping promenade. It’s therefore worth arriving early, as the most sought-after antiques often change hands by morning. Furthermore, it’s not just private vendors who participate—as in previous years, local merchants from the shopping street are also taking part.
Around 400 market stalls, food vendors, and a children’s flea market

A total of around 400 stalls line the alleys, offering a wide range of secondhand items, clothing, and rarities. However, it’s by no means just about vintage treasures—visitors will also find plenty to enjoy on the culinary front. While you browse at your leisure, local restaurants and food vendors provide small regional delicacies and cold refreshments.

The organizers have also thought of the youngest guests. In addition to traditional entertainment, there’s a separate children’s flea market, so even the young vendors can sell their old toys.
A popular gathering spot twice a year

The event takes place twice a year, with the fall date traditionally marking the end of the outdoor season. So if you’re looking for affordable everyday items, you should mark this particular Saturday on your calendar. After all, the setting offers the perfect blend of a neighborhood festival and a bargain hunt.
