On the last weekend in May, the streets of Wiener Neustadt transform into a giant open-air stage for the Straßen.Kunst.Festival Wiener Neustadt. If you’re into handmade artistry and circus flair, you’ll find an extremely packed program here.
International acts for the tip jar

At the 9th Straßen.Kunst.Festival in Wiener Neustadt on May 29 and 30, 2026, international professionals will be performing right on the pavement. Instead of fixed ticket prices, the fair tip-based system applies here: After the show, you simply give the artists whatever you think the performance was worth.
The lineup delivers top-notch entertainment. Among the performers is Australian contortionist Alakazam, who impresses with over 26 years of performance experience and daring stunts. Also on the bill is the New Zealand duo MulletMan & MiM, who combine intense acrobatics with a healthy dose of comedy.

Fire shows and skateboard action

As soon as it starts to get dark in the evening, the duo “One Two Many” takes the stage with a spectacular fire show, really heating up the square. Before that, the Czech group Ritmo Factory gets the audience’s hearts racing with loud, South American rhythms.
There are also activities for kids: Those who prefer to get active themselves can grab a test board at the Skate4Fun skate school right on BORG Square and get tips from the pros. Alternatively, you can learn to juggle with diabolos, plates, or classic rings at the open participatory circus.
More programming for the little ones

For the youngest guests, a completely free children’s carousel will be running all day. Plus, the Funny Faces face-painting arena will be open, transforming the kids into little works of art. The festival grounds open one hour before each performance —perfect for grabbing a tasty drink beforehand.
