Art & Design Market
More than 170 exhibitors bring their handmade, one-of-a-kind items to Vienna at the Art & Design Market, far removed from mass-produced goods. Small labels and up-and-coming talents use the premises of the Ottakringer Brewery to present their sustainable products. The Vienna Vintage Photo Fair is taking place for the fourth time this April. Admission is free, and around 40 exhibitors will be presenting their works and collections. The Vienna Whisky Festival brings around 80 brands and hundreds of varieties from all over the world to Vienna. In the masterclasses, you’ll learn more about maturation processes, barrel storage, and flavor profiles. Vienna City Marathon

April gets sporty with the 43rd Vienna City Marathon. The race takes you through the city over 42 kilometers. The starting point is on the Reichbrücke, where participants will be sent off in several waves starting at 9 a.m. Coffee, tea, and pastries await you at the finish line to recharge your batteries. The award ceremony will take place at 12 noon in front of the Burgtheater, where the three fastest men and women will be honored. This year, for the first time, a 10K race will take place at the same time as the marathon. Join in and cheer on your loved ones as they take on the challenge.
Fantasy Con

Red Lotus Film Festival
The Red Lotus Festival is taking place in Vienna for the fifth time this April. The film festival presents a carefully curated selection of Asian cinema hits. Not only will you get to see the films, but you can also meet some of the filmmakers in person, who are traveling to Vienna especially for the event. The focus this year will be on Chinese cinema, but other films will also be represented.

In April, a sparkling drone ballet set to Vivaldi transforms the Viennese night sky into a shimmering canvas.
