A park garden normally closed to the public opens its wrought-iron gates in mid-May for a weekend full of craftsmanship and culinary delights. Instead of gray asphalt, lush greenery under old trees awaits you. There, you can combine a relaxed stroll with the first big spring picnic of the year.
It is precisely this blend of nature and creativity that the Frühlingsquartier brings to the 12th district. The event is taking place for the second time this year in Hetzendorf Palace Park and brings together around 100 selected labels from the fields of fashion, interior design, and cosmetics.
Local outdoor design and plants

This year, there is a special focus on high-quality outdoor design that enhances your balcony or garden. Look forward to handmade sun loungers from Timeless Home, cozy hammocks from the Upper Austrian manufacturer Chico, and stylish garden sculptures from the Spitzbart label.
In addition to the many design booths and manufacturers, the Viennese family-run nursery Ganger will bring a large selection of fresh flowers and herbs. If you need a break after shopping, just grab a spot in the spacious picnic areas on the lawn.

Street food, DJ beats, and a game of boules

DJ Bootsy’s chill sounds set the perfect mood while you leisurely sample the street food offerings. From meat-free alternatives at the Planted Food Truck to sweet treats at the Naschbazar, there’s plenty of sustenance to go around.
To ensure the day is truly relaxing, badminton rackets and boules are available for you to grab for a quick game on the lawn. A minor downside for all pet owners: unfortunately, dogs are not allowed in the castle park.
The organizers, Andrea and May-Britt—who are also behind the well-known Weihnachtsquartier —have kept young visitors in mind when setting prices. Admission is free for everyone under 22, making the event the perfect destination for families, students, and design enthusiasts.
