A trip to the Vienna Woods doesn ’t alwayshave to be a leisurely stroll. If you’re in the mood for fresh air and a little adrenaline, you’ll find the perfect spot to burn off some energy in the 19th district. After a short ride on the 38A bus from Heiligenstadt, you’ll suddenly find yourself in front of Eastern Austria’s largest adventure forest rope park.
If you’re generally into adrenaline or sports, feel free to check out this sports event in a real palace or here, where you can train in the park with a real extreme athlete—completely free of charge.
Climbing in the treetops

The Kahlenberg Forest Rope Park stretches extensively through the forest and offers a total of 17 courses across three difficulty levels. Here, you’ll climb up to 20 meters high and zoom through nature on extremely fast zip lines. Thanks to the modern safety system, the climb is always safe even for those with less experience.
Action for the whole family at the forest rope park

The grounds also have plenty to offer for the youngest visitors, as toddlers can explore two “gnome courses” for free. Those interested can also book supervised children’s birthday parties or professional guided sessions here. The standard ticket for adults costs 37 euros; for children, the price ranges from 16 to 29 euros depending on height.

Archery, biking, and quark strudel

Plan on spending a relaxed four hours climbing during your visit, as this duration is included in the ticket price. If that’s not enough for you, test your accuracy right next door at the 3D archery park or rent a bike at the E-Mountainbike Center. By then, your stomach will be growling, which is why the neighboring Josefinenhütte awaits you with truly delicious, traditional dishes and fresh quark strudel.
