From May 16 to June 22, 2025, the Vienna Festival Weeks will transform the city into a “Republic of Love”. Vienna Pride: Colorful, loud and political
From May 31 to June 15, Vienna will be all about diversity and equality. The centerpiece is the Rainbow Parade on June 14, where over 250,000 people take to the streets together for acceptance and respect. There are numerous events surrounding the parade: the Pride Village on Rathausplatz (12-14 June), the Vienna Pride Conference (6 June) and the Pride Run on Ringstrasse (13 June) make the city the center of the LGBTIQ+ community. Many museums and sights also offer special Pride programs.

Danube Island Festival: Europe’s biggest free music festival
From 20 to 22 June 2025, the Danube Island will be transformed into a huge festival zone with 16 stages, 600 hours of program and around 2.5 million visitors. The line-up ranges from local acts to international stars, plus culinary delights, a children’s program and many other activities – all free of charge. The Danube Island is easily accessible by subway.

Open-air concerts: classical music in the open air
The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra’s Summer Night Concert takes place on June 13 in Schönbrunn Palace Park – a musical highlight against an imperial backdrop, free of charge and in the open air. Even more classical music takes place at the end of the month when the Vienna Symphony Orchestra invites you to open-air concerts on a meadow in the Prater on June 26 and 27. And finally, you can enjoy classical music in the historic gardens of the former Semmelweis Women’s Clinic at the AMADEUS Festival Vienna from June 26 to 29.

Cinema on the roof
Throughout June, there is open-air cinema on the roof of the main library – often including films in the original language with German subtitles. Until September 13,Kino am Dach will be showing films in the open air – from international classics to current Austrian productions.
